Hey there and welcome to my blog! Life is full of ordinary moments. As a teacher in public schools, I see them every day. As an adult living in the world, I am bombarded with them. In the day-to-day interactions, they can seem useless, boring, and unnecessary. Yet at the same time, they can be full of laughter, and joy. Our life is purposeful. Our lives are meant for God even in the moments that seem dull.  

That is what this blog is going to be about. Simple…ordinary…moments that happen around me and what God is pointing out to me about Himself in them. Whether that is handling discipline in my classroom in a way that is Biblical and honors the Lord, the books that I am reading, or something that happens at H-E-B (my favorite grocery store in Texas). 

God is always working in our midst to reveal Himself. My hope in this endeavor is that God would be glorified in the mundane because He is present. That this would cause me and you to remember that our God, Emmanuel, is with us. That he would lift our eyes off ourselves and onto Him to relish in the beauty of who He is as our Savior and Friend.
