Rachel Whisman

My name is Rachel Whisman, and I am a Christian. I love the Lord, am passionate about the local Church that I get to join others in serving, and the community that I am part of because of it. In addition, I have been teaching for the past eight years at a low-socioeconomic public school and love it (despite a rOuGh start, full transparency). On the side, I am a bookworm, music enthusiast, most likely hanging out with someone at a coffee shop or outside playing a sport. 

Ever since high school, I have been writing. I enjoy blending words to create a sentence that then joins with other sentences to create a thought that leaves an impression. An impression that lifts our gaze from ourselves and onto the Lord to delight in Him. 

Ultimately, it’s about Jesus. It’s about knowing, cherishing, and becoming more like Him. I pray that is what you are left with from reading my blogs: a desire to know our beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ, and be satisfied in Him alone.
